Welcome to DarkGrid AI. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the DarkGrid AI desktop application (the "App") and our website at https://darkgrid-ai.com (together, the "Service"), operated by DarkGrid AI ("us", "we", or "our").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, or by using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Definitions

For the purposes of these Terms:

• Company (referred to as "the Company", "we", "us" or "our") refers to DarkGrid AI.
• Application (or App) refers to the DarkGrid AI desktop software.

• misrepresent the App as your own product or distribute modified versions as official.

Purchases and paid features

The App is free to download and includes features you can use at no cost. We may offer additional features as optional one-time purchases or subscriptions ("Paid Features"). Where we do:

• The price and what is included are shown to you before you complete a purchase, and free features remain available without payment.
• Payments are processed by third-party payment processors or app stores. By making a purchase you also agree to the applicable processor's or store's terms. We do not process or store your full payment card details.
• Some Paid Features may be unlocked with a license key or similar credential. You are responsible for keeping it secure, and you may not share, resell, or redistribute it.
• Any subscription continues until cancelled and may renew automatically. You can cancel as described at the time of purchase or through the relevant store or processor.
• Except where required by law or by the applicable store's policy, fees are non-refundable.
• We may change prices or what a Paid Feature includes. Changes do not affect purchases you have already completed; for subscriptions, changes apply to future billing periods after reasonable notice.
• Applicable taxes may be added to the price shown.

No account required

The App does not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use it. You are responsible for the security of the Device on which you install and run the App.

AI answers are not professional advice

DarkGrid AI generates answers using a language model together with offline reference material. That output can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. It is provided for general information only and is not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or safety advice.

Do not rely on the App as your only source in an emergency or for any decision affecting health or safety. In an emergency, contact qualified professionals or your local emergency services.

Your content and third-party materials

• You are responsible for any documents you add to the App and for having the right to use them.
• Models, Wikipedia archives, and other downloadable content are governed by their own licenses, shown in the App or by their providers where applicable. Review them for your use case.
• Your Content remains yours. Because it stays on your Device, we do not access, store, or claim any rights to it.
• You agree to use the Service lawfully and not to create or distribute unlawful, infringing, or harmful material with it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any applicable law or regulation;
• attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or circumvent the security of the Service;
• upload or transmit malicious code through any part of the Service;
• reverse engineer the App except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that any answer it produces is accurate or reliable.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no case shall DarkGrid AI, nor its contributors, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, consequential, or special damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service or the information it produces.

Updates

We may release new versions of the App from time to time. Update checks are initiated by you from within the App; we do not install updates automatically or in the background. You are not required to update, but older versions may lack fixes or improvements.

Governing law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

Changes to these terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice before the new terms take effect. By continuing to use the Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.

Severability
